Can You Spend Only $20 a Year on Clothes?

One of the thing I’m always complaining about is that my wife buys too many clothes. You walk into “our” closet (it’s mostly her’s with a few shelves devoted to my t-shirts), and you’re inundated with her suits for work, rows of shoes, countless accessories… it goes on and on! To be fair, I do have my own closet, but half of it is filled with her stuff. My wife’s not bad. I too fall prey to what people think and appearances are and should be very important, up to a certain point. My wife’s an optometrist so she has to wear a suit practically everyday to work. I’m a little more lucky because I work in IT, I can wear jeans and a polo. But I still can’t imagine spending less than $500 between us on clothes every year.
This lady spent only $20 dollars! Yes, an Andrew Jackson on clothes. How did she do it?
