FMF over at Free Money Finance recently listed some companies that he promotes for free. A lot of other bloggers took this queue to provide their own list of favorite brands and stores, so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and submit my own list as well! Here are 3 of my favorite companies, that I happily promote just because I like them:

Costco - I love Costco because of their low prices and their money back guarantee (I’m fine with them not taking back electronics after 90 days, screw the people trying to game the system) though sometimes the long lines can be a little frustrating if you want to walk out with only a couple things. I like how they’ve expanded their line of products to include more seasonal items. I love their caramel mini muffins, great prices and great service, and their tire center. I’ve never had a bad shopping experience at Costco, plus I get 2% back on my purchases to boot.

GEICO - For my demographic, I pay pennies for auto insurance and Geico is part of the reason why. I’ve been with them for a few years as I’ve been driving and every bill the amount they charge gets lower and lower. Just this past month I renewed my policy and the premium had fallen $150, you can’t really beat that! Plus they have the Caveman and Gecko commercials. I won’t be watching the Cavemen on ABC this fall though.

Microsoft - I don’t care what anyone says. I love MS. Over the last thirty years, Microsoft’s unrelenting charge toward world dominance has brought computing technology to the forefront of society. While many will argue that Microsoft is a great hindrance to the spread of computing, I’m certain that without the Microsoft-Intel duopoly, computers would still be the purview of pocket protector adorned, horn-rimmed glasses wearing geeks (sorry, no offense).
