I’ve been working on a few posts for the coming week, so I’m not sure that there will be any significant posting today. Maybe late tonight, after the wife goes to bed or early Sunday morning.

Today’s post at Freakonomics linked to an article on a study released by The University of Melbourne’s School of Behavioral Science.

It shows that a suprising number of college students consider their mothers to be the single most significant person in their lives. Out of a survey of university freshman, 40% listed their moms as the most important and influential person they’d ever known, compared with 25% for fathers, 17% for romantic partners, 12% for friends, and 6% for siblings.

Here’s an early Happy Mother’s Day to my mom. I doubt she’ll ever read this post anyways. For Father’s Day next month, I’ll be interviewing my dad (if he agrees to it). He was the Head of Human Resources at USRobotics while they were just a little company starting up. This was before the merger/buyout by 3Com.
